NC29 Weird whirring sound, loss of power and sputtering.HELP!

Post by kurisuaki »

Hi everyone,

Started my bike today. Seemed to idle find. The moment i put it into first it started to make this weird whirring sound which seemed to come from my end can. Tried riding it a bit and it just got louder. It also started to sputter. and there was hardly any power behind the bike. Decided to park it and take the bus. Going back tmr to get it and was hoping to get a better idea of what could be wrong with it.

Video attached was shot with my GoPro (Hopefully it uploads right). Thank God it was on.

Many thanks!

Did you ever fix it? ? Sounds like it's only running on 3 cyclinders? Probably needs a carb service. "O" rings and seal are probably shot. Flush out the coolant , check the water pump and thermostat .

I've had this twice

1st time was a blocked fuel filter

2nd time was Regulator/Rectifier on the way out that wasn't charging the battery
