Powder coating

Post by Barry1234 »

Hi folks

Can anyone recommend a decent blaster and powder coater for some parts on my project

Need to get yokes, clipons, headlight bracket re-coated and eventually wheels and calipers when funds allow

Any help would be appreciated

If you said where you were based, it might have been useful. I don't know where you are so can't say if Northumberland is helpful or not.

Forgiven. bighug

It is a Monday morning...I understand.

Yeah - their work is excellent.

I've just had new tyres put on, and it survived the local hamfisted tyre fitter. :)

It cost me £150 to get the pair done gold - and they were shipped to and from the guy.

I don't have the contact details for them - as I only got the F3 this summer and the supplying dealer arranged it all.

However, he recommended them having used them before. I got the bike from Teasdales in North Yorkshire - Andy is the guy there - he is really helpful.

I highly recommend Aerocoat in St Olaves. They have done work on several of my bikes. I've had subframes, wheels, yokes, clip-ons, brackets etc all done there to good effect.

I'd recommend satin black for everything except wheels, which can be chosen in any colour as their options are extensive.

Re wheels - I understand again why most wheels are black. My gold wheels, like the white ones on my YZF750 are very pretty, but get caked in brakedust and gunk very quickly.

Thanks guys, will check them out

Had a yzf750 myself, in the most hideous colour scheme, brake dust actually improved the look
