RS250 axle replica made from titanium...any interest?
I have followed a lot of threads about a replica RS250 rear axle for VFR/RVF 400s. There was a botched sell from one made of aluminum, and I read the thread about Michael having a few made of titanium. I found a company that makes some bespoke titanium Motorsport parts with some trick coatings such as PVD. They work exclusively with titanium. I have had some lug nuts made by them and they asked about anything else I might want, so I sent them pics and some rough dimensions of the aluminum model made by James that some people actually were able to get. I don't ha e prices or specifics yet as this is just in a young stage of creation. I was planning on asking for the same kit made by James, prolly minus the hardware. Would anyone be interested? I was thinking about 5 interested people. The company is thinking of price, but I did tell them how much the other kits were for an example of what people have paid in the past. Again, this will not be a fast process, I just wanted to know if there was still any interest in these made of titanium.
Thanks!
Jerry

Re: RS250 axle replica made from titanium...any interest?
Jerry cheers for the reply.
We agreed after James that was enough and he left a right trail of destruction in his trail and i am not saying this will happen again with you, but from my perspective i am just fed up with picking up pieces after these group buys either not delivering or other issues.
yet people seem to moan at me like it's my fault when that part they paid for has not turned up and expect me to do something about it.
i appreciate the understanding.

I love this site and what it offers to people who own our bikes. Last thing I would want to do is mess it up and make it worse for everyone. I will always respect the wishes of the admins here and try to be a good member of the site. if you would like to chat more about me or my intentions, please let me know! I am a pretty transparent guy with no hidden agendas.CRM wrote:Jerry cheers for the reply.

There's a Ti Japanese one available but it's 200,000 yen.
I have one of the replica works axles from James too. Beautiful piece but it weighs the same as the steel NX5 axle I have.

2 thousand US dollars is a lot of cash for the axle! I am not familiar with an NX5 axle. Can you elaborate on it at all? Are they still available??JC120 wrote:There's a Ti Japanese one available but it's 200,000 yen.
