NC24 with NC30 carbs?
Hello there, I have just acquired a vfr400 NC24, it is missing the carbs and I am unable to locate any nc24 carbs for the bike, I was wondering if I was to buy a set of nc30 carbs would they fit or what adjustments would I need to make?
and what would be the ideal jetsizes for nc30 carbs running on a nc24 engine?

The NC30 carbs will fit the 24,No doubt they will need some jetting adjustments.

Any idea's what jetting it would be? I know the NC24 with a standard carb has 115's all round, would that be different with a nc30 carb or would 115's work in it the same?hunter wrote:No doubt they will need some jetting adjustments.
Do I also need to get rubbers for the piston head or are they the same between the engines?

Welcome.
I'd get new rubbers either way - the make the fitment and removal so much easier. You'll be putting a finger in the air for the jetting, but as long as you are ballpark you'll be fine - 115s would be a good place to start

I just jetted my carbs on my NC24, carbs are 32mm throat and I used 117.5 front and 120 rear. See my air filter post for other info.

Re: NC24 with NC30 carbs?
The air circuitary in the nc24 carbs is different from the nc30 carbs, so exact jetting will be a bit of trial and error.
Anything around 115 should be fine as a base though.
