As far as I know the only way to tell is from the production sticker that is stuck on the top of the undertray. If this is missing I dont think there's any way of finding out exactly which scheme your bike was but the V-source site has a table that narrows down the possibilities dependent on chassis and engine numbers.

which undertray is that, the plastic bit under the rear seat that holds the battery?

It should be visible when you remove the passenger seat, its next to where the toolkit sits.

The color code is also on the "barcode sticker" on the rear mudguard under the number plate--if it hasn't been removed. Other than that, I'm sure Honda Japan could look up a bike's original paint scheme via the Frame Number, but that's not a service I've ever heard Honda offering to us punters...

Check the inside of the panels ( if they are oe plastic) , the underside the fuel tank and front guard to see if there is any remence of the oe scheme, then use the frame/engine numbers to work out the year from that you should be able to limit your search down a few paint schemes
