RVF/VFR mechanic in kent?

Post by alexko »

Hi guys, (and ladies if...)
I purchased an RVF 400 1 month ago.
The bike has been in storage for 3 years, the owner started the bike and it run reasonable well(the bike not the owner) ..however just to be on the safe side I want to have the carbs removed cleaned up/synchronized and generally check that everything runs as it was meant by Mr Honda.
Could you please recommend me an experienced RVF/VFR mechanic in Kent or a forum member willing to help?
I can transport the bike...
Many thanks,
Alex

Yes, Tony is the owner. Tell him Scottish Malc sent you. He won't give you anything off the bill, but will no doubt take the piss...

He's a good bloke, and be sure to ask him about his boy's race NC30 - its a bit of a weapon.

Hi Malc,
Was not expecting any discount, he would be bankrupt if giving discount to all the new customers.
He told me they are racing a NC30 bike :-)
I do not expect big issues from the bike, it had only 1 owner since imported in UK the fella was 60+ years old when he imported the bike in 97 and sold it to me as he's way to old to ride now. But as I said 3-4 years in storage is a very long time....especially for a 19 years old bike.

Again, thanks for helping me out.
