1986 fzr - no flasher??
for the life of me - cant find flasher on friends fzr400 - weve both looked! lights just go on - no ticking, no flashing..
Someone at a shop mentioned something about using a led flasher for the lights cos they arent stock?? super confused..
also no plug unused visible anywhere

Try under the seat fairing plastics, also a led flasher is only needed if you have led indicators.

It should be a brown wire - there are 2 of them that plug into a resisto, the wires are in a 90 degree plug. If youre using led indicators you need to have a different resistance flasher unit, or add inline ballast resistors like these

Ok - what indicators doe the bike have on it, are they standard, small aftermarket or LED ???
Whats probably happening is that the indicators are "flashing" but very very slowly, that's to say they're not, if you see what I mean. What happens is the electrical circuit needs to make a certain wattage, which is the bulbs + the indicator relay. When aftermarket indicators are fitted they usually have smaller bulbs with a smaller wattage or LEDs which have hardly any at all, both of which mean the relay is out of whack and doesn't turn off / on as quickly.
Anyway the relay is in the tail of the bike probably on the left, it has Brown / Brown White wires into it. You can replace the relay with an adjustable one from ebay
