Red Dragon Vapour blasting

Post by tillett22 »

I am currently cleaning up my 89 nc30, I love the bike so thought it needed some deep cleaning and restoring.

I have had the wheels powder coated which look really good and the forks rebuilt with a Rick O fork kit.

I want to get these foot pegs vapour blasted and was wondering if anyone has used this company or had any experience with vapour blasting in general.

Where in Staffs are you? I've use chap in Swadlincote. http://www.vapourworx.co.uk/index.html Not that cheap but the final finish was fantastic compared to how it was.

Hi there,
I have a vapour blasting business and have just restored my own nc30. I did all those bits then machine polished the big area of the kick plates and the rest of the kick plate, gear changer, brake pedal etc I gave them a rub over with metal polish and looks really good. I dont know how to get pics on here but i can email you some if you like. Also my web site for blasting is www.tigerblast.co.uk

I didn't go mad polishing the kick plate because I personally didn't like it looking like chrome.
After vapour blasting you get a nice smooth satin finish, like I said I polished it all with a little autosol after and got a finish I was happy with, same with pillion pegs and brackets.

WOW that is one clean bike!! Its lovely. How did you clean the lower frame where you feet rest against the frame as mine has worn and has shine parts showing through.

I rubbed it with a little bit of car polish and it got rid of it. I think its more down to luck though as it was not that bad to begin with. But now iv got a bit obsessed and cover it in masking tape so i don't catch it (very sad i know) tbh i got a bit obsesses with the whole thing now don't dare use it at all now .
Thanks fore the nice comments though.
