Hope you're feeling better Mike. I will have to give you a call so we can catch up. Have you posted up about the Castec here?
Tell me you didn't buy one of those horrific little KTM 390 mopeds?

Hi Mike.

I'm also interested.
Again, can I check what the full cost would be incl rods?
Would be looking at 1-2 sets of the 57mm with +3mm rods.
Re: the rods - you mention HRC / Gforce - are these the Carrillo ones you have used or a different supply?
Please keep us updated.

Thanks!

Hi guys.

I am sorry for going missing on you. Life's been giving me some fits and twists lately. Unfortunately, while recovering from my 3rd cervical (neck) spine surgery I somehow broke my lumbar (lower) back in 2 places. This, caused me to lose my badass Dyno Engineer job with Honda Racing. So, now I am going in for yet another spinal surgery next week.

Needless to say, I have done nothing with the Cosworth pistons. I was able to source a new ring, but that would leave everyone with the previous pistons out in the cold for rings. So, I am still holding off on doing anything until I have exhausted the possibilities for getting new rings made to the Yamaha spec. I will work on this while recovering from this next surgery.

Don't be afraid to poke. I'm not a hornets nest. Just super busy and now very distracted.

Cheers,

Mike Norman

What about this company, they seem to produce Pistons for various 400s already and they make rings for the nc30

Michael,
They also have the stock Yamaha 1WG-11610-00-00 rings (56mm), could you please ask them if they could make them in 57mm for the 2009 coswoth pistons?.
thanks

I talked to Scheuerlein, they told me that they have the 57mm pistonrings include the oil ring in stock.
A set will cost 199,90€ without shipping. Scheuerlein had more than 10 sets in stock.
