to break or not to break..

Post by Bill »

this type of thing i know is on here all the time, sorry to be a poster of this again! But i have an NC30 i've owned for around 8 years now, it was on a cat D back in 2012 (ish) for faring damage but more recently i took it around cadwell (in august) after a long time out of action, due only to lack of use,

it has a ducati 748/916 front-end (the forks could do with a refresh) has new ish wavey discs and spare pads and tyga rc45 style single seat rear and susuka front, the fairings aren't the best and the top part has been 'adapted to allow the new rads, but as its all fiberglass could be 'fixed' but doesn't look bad as is.

before cadwell i removed the engine and replaced all of the engine gaskets apart from the head gaskets as they seemed fine and replaced the rocker cover gaskets as i found a leak so thought it best. i replaced the consumables, chain and sprockets some engine bolts oil filter and so on, needless to say the ever bullet proof nc ran beautifully around cadwell as expected, it wouldn't take a huge amount of work to get back on the road, but it dose need some work as after sitting a while and dropping it like a nob the carbs have developed a leak. it needs also some small things like lock stops reworking and the rear light looking at, it lights up on breaks but not with the dipped or high beam, it has the original bar ends new grips new (GPI) rads and hoses, a new rear Tyre i have the other front light and the bits to return it to twin lights, or sell for parts or whatever, there are the odd spares with it, a lever and choke cable and a LED Rear light and so on my question is as im sure you've gathered, would there be interest in it as is or for parts? and whats it worth as a whole?

i'll try to add a pic as well

thanks.

If the rad hoses are blue I will have em..i shouldn't think you'd have much problem selling it in bits but then again would nt take much to put half decent

If they are not oem parts eg good fairings, tank, seats, shock, you may struggle a bit,
Forks may be a good sell,But there again people are fitting 636,And triumph tripple forks as upgrades these days.
Sounds like it could make a good trackday tool.
