Digital speedo
Hello, not sure if this has been answered by anyone before as I'm a new user to this site but has anybody had any dealings with digital speedo conversion on their vfr400 nc30?. I have been looking at acewell speedos, are these any good?. Or has anyone used translogic.
Cheers in advance

Re: Digital speedo
Have you tried a search?
Tons of people have converted to a digital dash. I myself have a set of SpA gauges on my bike. My speedo uses a magnetic pick up on the front rotor.

Re: Digital speedo
My wife has the acewell unit on her nc35 and I really like it a lot. My Ducati on the other hand has a Translogiic that I'm still a bit on the fence about as I haven't ridden much with it. Here's a link to the wife's bike on the tyga website...

Let me know if you want specifics about it/ them

Looks good. Was it a bugger or pretty straight forward?, ie bracketing etc?. What model is your wife's.

Re: Digital speedo
The dash model is a 3915. The installation was pretty straight forward. I did have to get with our US distributor and get a different (longer) wheel pick up magnet (rotor bolt) as the original was hit and miss due to how the speed sensor was mounted. As far as the bracketry, I made an alumninum bracket for the speed sensor that uses the front axle pinch bolts on the fork lower (very clean looking) The bike has the Tyga RC211V bodywork so the speedo bracket is built into the fairing stay which did require a bit of trimming to look professional. Other than that it fairly easy.
Hope this helps!
