Brake calipers
What I really like to have is a set of gold calipers for the front without spending a load and also the way the bike is braking there is no need to have Brembo's and all the other grear fitted...
I am willing to pay for a set which I can swap with the one's thats on the bike and still keep the same braided hoses and master cylinder.
any ideas on which one's will fit straigh on?

Re: Brake calipers
Dont Sp1 calipers bolt straight on?
There was also a guy selling some gold CBR 6 calipers as a direct bolt on. In both cases, Im sure the line and mc can still be retained

Yeah SP1 and earlier CBR600rr (non radial) bolt straight on.

Re: Brake calipers
I hear you with the gold paint
but I think for the time and effort it will take to remove, strip, clean and assemble I might just spend 60 or so quid and do the change over.

Re: Brake calipers
Do you mean the CBR/SP1 brakes or just the std NC30 gold calipers that you can get?

Re: Brake calipers
I can get some CBR600RR 03 caliper for about 60-70 quid, the bloke said they are the same one's that used on the SP1&2. So does that mean they will bolt straigh on?

Re: Brake calipers
Yeah, sorry, my prev post was being dumb - if you have an RVF then they should bolt straight on.
Can you get a pic?

Re: Brake calipers
yes I have an RVF, the 1st pics is the CBR600RR 03-04 and the 2nd is a Fireblade 00-02.

I did check on EBC's website and the Fireblade uses the same pads as the SP1, the 600 uses different one's to the SP1.

Re: Brake calipers
they are the same brakes though and will bolt straight onto the RVF fork bottoms.
