Fairings

Post by timvfr »

Hi guys

I'm new on here since I bought my NC 30 just 2 weeks ago. When I bought the bike I knew it had some plastic damage as there were a couple of small cracks on them that were visible. So I bought it with the intention of fixing them. As I always do whenever I buy a new vehicle I have done an engine service. While removing the plastic from my bike I realized that the condition on the panels is worse than thought as most of them have been repaired.

The repairs carried out on the fairings were done using fiber glass and it is detaching from the plastic. Since I have the equipment I have decided to remove the fiberglass and carryout plastic welding on them. My issue with this is that since the fairings have resin all over them I cannot see the plastic type on them, all I can say is that they might still be the original ones as I have seen the Honda pn on a couple of them. Can anyone tell me the type of plastic used for the original fairings?
