I've got a ZXR front end but with ohlins internals.Neosophist wrote:benny wrote:ZXR400 front end... With ZXR speedo. Could still run the NC tachometer.
Sounds nice
I wouldn't bother at all with a zxr400 front end unless it was the multi-adjustable SP front end.
go crazy and fit a 130/70/-16 fireblade front wheel
Wish I had a radial set up really but ah well.

Re: NC30/35 hydraulic clutch conversion
Ohlins internals?
ZX636 forks would be better, they will fit no problem into ZXR400 yolks.
Not sure why you would want radial brakes on an old 400 though? I've yet to find the stopping power of the original calipers so long as the discs and pads and MC were in good order to be inadequate,.

Didn't know they did? Will have to look into the 636 forks next time.
Yeh I'm quite happy with my brakes right now, but the Swansea boys ran radial calipers and Tont says his radial triumph calipers are unbelievably good.
I like trick things :')

This is my setup on my faithful NC30.micpec wrote:@Benny, Neo,
so I've got the nc21 master cylinder, slave cylinder and sprocket cover all here. What needs to be done to the sprocket cover to still attempt to fit the speedo drive? It's for fitting on my NC35 project. Or do I need to remove it and use something else for a speedo? And is it the VTR firestorm or SP1 hydraulic clutch line that I need?
Note the quick-shifter up & down micro switches linked to the Ignitech and the currently dormant feeds to the donut oil cooler. These are going back on next season as I now have a huge Radiator to fit.

The VTR Master Cylinder is a recent replacement for an NC21 type which is now road-rashed but serviceable and free to a good home.

Regards,
Dave.

I've got mine all set up now too but with an Accossato master cylinder. I do have a spare VTR one as well though.
