hrc open carb jetting
Hi guys got some bits coming for my race bike from Rick and some of it is to run the hrc style open airbox for my race bike I have the carb tray too.
The bike has a full mhp exhaust system but standard engine just wondering if anyone has a good base setting to get me started for the jetting before I get the bike on a dyno ?? Thanks in advance
Dan

Re: hrc open carb jetting
Hi Dan
I ran 132fr 134 r mains, 35 pilots, nc24 needles, nc24 slides, hrc imulsion tubes, pilot air screws 1.5 turns out and was running Rick Oliver hrc copy bell mouths with the cover over the air circuit.
The air tray was modded to hrc spec and a thin gauze secured over the top to stop stones/gravel getting in and with no fuel pump, just gravity fed.
This was on a standard motor running a MHP twin stack cans. If you search project track dog you will see what was done.

Did MHP make these full systems? Wasn't it half systems only combined with standard pipes?MARSHnc30 wrote:Hi guys got some bits coming for my race bike from Rick and some of it is to run the hrc style open airbox for my race bike I have the carb tray too.

No, full system. I had one on my old NC30 race bike, albeit it was badged as RLR. Mark made the entire system.micpec wrote:Did MHP make these full systems? Re: hrc open carb jetting
I dont recall MHP or RLR making anything other than 1/2 and 3/4 systems either although i do recall it may have been RLR that made a batch of full systems and coming to the conclusion that full and 3/4 systems made no difference at all.
I got some NC24 carbs here if you want them for the slides
