Re: Best rear shock for race bike
I race with bemsee in sub64 and currently running a Base model Nitron in mine, bike handles beautifully, all of the time I make up on other guys is done in the corners but the bike really lacks down the straights 56bhp on the bemsee dyno 2 weeks ago so guess why lol, still it was enough to do a gnat's dick off 1.47 dead at Cadwell and that's down to a good shock and Rick Oliver upgraded forks.
Only thing I struggle with is ground clearance, I'm allways scraping the fairing so I had to adjust the shock to the longest setting possible, if I where you I'd go for the longer option if buying from Rick Oliver. I'm actually looking at going for the HRC linkage and upgrading my shock to the top spec Nitron. There definatly are people out there who have had issues with their shocks before but they did and probably still do have good customer service and will sort any issues out.
Look forward to racing with you next year, we need more V4's on the grid!
