GSXR400 GK73a fuel tap leaking

Post by moforockband »

HI, I have a fuel tap leaking, where fuel drips off the knob over time, I've cleaned it w'out success.
Has anyone pulled one apart. Mine has only a few parts.
- the fuel tap body, the pink insert (valve), spring and the outer knob.

It measures 34mm between hole centres, and the ones off ebay are all 4.2mm fuel outlets meant for 6mm fuel lines and don't supply enough fuel on full chat. The OEM is 6mm outlet for 8mm fuel lines.

Do Bandit 1200 ones fit??????

Take a look at the Pingle website they make nice quality aftermarket taps for most bikes.

Thanks Chris, I've just checkedout the Pingle stuff. Looks nice, not sure who the UK distributor is. Probably looking at £100+ so will prob try another Suzuki one 1st.
BTW can you still sort me a set of o-rings out for my carbs? Thx Nick.
