FCR inlet rubbers
OK after some hold ups there is now progress on my NC29 motor rebuild.
So everything can be bolted together quickly once it's here I need a new set of carb rubbers.
Can anybody tell me if the standard rubbers fit with FCRs and if not, what the options are?
Matt

Re: FCR inlet rubbers
Ive not got a cbr but have used fcr's and the spigot that fits into the rubber is removable allowing the same body to be fitted to different bikes/rubbers.
If they are for the cbr they will be a straight fit, if not then you can buy different spigots to fit.
They are mega expensive though, probably cheaper to machine your own if you have access to a lathe.

Re: FCR inlet rubbers
I have 32mm FCR's and stock NC29 inlet rubbers. The FCR's do not line up to the rubbers and I have been told there is different inlet manifolds to fit the FCR's. If anyone has inlets to fit the FCR's or knows where to get them please let me know, its the last thing I need to get my bike back together. Email or message/post here, dan.massei@gmail.com. Can paypal right away, just name a price
thank you!
thank you!

Re: FCR inlet rubbers
So when you say they do not line up what's out?
Is it the spacing of the carbs versus the engine cylinder head inlets or the fitment of the rubber manifold onto the actual carb, so different shaped cutout machined into the carb body spigot.

Re: FCR inlet rubbers
Carbs do not line up exactly even to head inlets. You need offset manifold rubbers which were made, but are rare. Or have someone cut and make you something which I do not know anyone to make something for me, I was hoping someone on here has done it and has specs or ones for sale

Re: FCR inlet rubbers
Ok, ive seen the RC30 use a similar thing.
I know the cbr400 fcr's fit the 250 so a good place to try would be the retro guys who use the the 250 motor in the cb racers, they regularly use the fcr on the rep kit, try classic racer magazine.
You can always re rack them to line up ive done it with fcr's before and recently re racked my TMR's to fit my gsxr.
Carb supplies to try are allens and nrg, think they both stock fcrs.
