NC24 Front Brake Calipers
When sorting out my front brakes, I have had to strip the calipers and give them a bit of a spring clean.. Sorted out the left one (with the anti-dive) and them went to look at the right one..
The pistons on the LHS seem to be smaller than the RHS.
LHS are resin pistons with a steel cap.
RHS pistons are steel with a steel insert in the end and are bigger in diameter than the resin ones....
Surely this couldn't be correct.. Maybe someone could throw some light on this..

Re: NC24 Front Brake Calipers
stock 24 calipers have same pistons in both, just the brakcets are different as the one of the anti-dive side has bracket to connect it to anti-divetinkerer wrote:When sorting out my front brakes, I have had to strip the calipers and give them a bit of a spring clean.. Re: NC24 Front Brake Calipers
Thanks for the reply.. I guess I'll have to have a look for a RHS caliper for an NC24...

Re: NC24 Front Brake Calipers
pistons being resin they never usually fail unless they become stuck due to shitty seals and somebody molegrips them out

Re: NC24 Front Brake Calipers
Yep, seen the resin pistons and was careful not to damage them.. they were stuck tight but plumbed in some fluid and carefully pushed them both out hydraulically.. They were in good shape, so just a cleanup and reinstall..
If anyone would have a decent caliper for the rhs, I would be interested in having a chat..

From CMSNL, the Part number is 45200-ML0-723 for the RHS caliper for the NC24..
Would anyone have a cross reference to what else would use these calipers??
