All Balls bearings
Just a heads up, I had to buy a set of rear wheel bearings and the AllBalls pack which is marked cbr400 (1991-1998) does not fit the nc29. The correct fitmant should say 6004, the AllBalls says 6303 and is a good few mil wider.

Re: All Balls bearings
Yep I was the sucker who did, mainly wanted those as I have AllBalls in my steering head for the last couple of years and they seem OK.
Now I have generic cheopos but they only got to last till crimbo as I'm going to get the wheel coated.

Re: All Balls bearings
I just noticed a shop near me who I went to and tried to buy the allballs kit from has put them on ebay and someone has bought them for the 29, very odd as if its the same kit he showed me and I assume it is, he will have an unhappy customer when he finds the wrong sized bearings in the pack.
To be honest I try to go OEM nowadays but for some daft reason it slipped my mind as I was trying to get the bearings quickly but because of errors it took longer than going to David Silver.

Re: All Balls bearings
They won't fook about like that....not worth the bother.
They will however , be using the info sheet that came with the product or order .
Hunters does a lot of "All Balls" kit stuff.
Also; "All Balls" is a U.S. company and will be using US spec which MAY be different to UK/Grey tackle r.e. fitment
Frankly ;unless the kit has a particular special part , it is far and away cheaper to by generic bearings....the quality would be similar. Headstock bearings in particular.

Re: All Balls bearings
I suppose its down to allballs and their spec sheet, Hunters or any other retailer can only sell what they believe is the right kit sent by the manufacturers. I suppose it could have been wrongly labelled or packed wrong. So if anyone does buy them let us know what bearings you get. Hunters did spend time trying to sort it for me so I have no problems with them.

They are about the last "Old School" venture left on a street that once had over 30 motorcycle specific shops.
I use them a lot where feasible.....and nearly did time with the founder !
