Rvf 400 Front wheel alignment
Hello
I have just tried lining my front wheel up with the back using straight bars and it appears to far over to one side. It is central in the forks so could be theres a spacer missing out of the rear wheel? I am really stuck at the moment an wondered if anyone on here has any experiance or guidence they can offer?
Thanks, Dan

Im running a vfr rear wheel, its out by about 5mm. I think it could be the rear swing arm?

Re: Rvf 400 Front wheel alignment
Its definatly a rvf swing arm but the spacer may be wrong. The front and rear wheel are parellel but the front is 5mm off centre when aligned with the rear. Has anyone got a size for the swing arm spacer?

Re: Rvf 400 Front wheel alignment
You wont have VFR and RVF spacers mixed up as the spindle size is different. Is there a possibility the bike could be bent?
Unless fitted by a complete numpty its very hard to put the rear wheel components on wrong to make it off centre and if your saying the front is central in the forks then it can only be bent.

Re: Rvf 400 Front wheel alignment
The wheels are still parellel so it couldnt be bent. Ive had the bike for years an ridden it as is an not noticed. I recently had the forks done by maxton so came to line it all up an noticed. The rear hub is assemled correctly. Its wierd how its exactly 5mm out like a spacers missing or too short. Ive made new spacers for the swing arm and the sprocket to space it accordingly if all lines up then am tempted leave it

If nothing has changed then there is something wrong with the way ts gone back together
I wouldn't use made spacers as you could be riding a death trap.
Do you have the front calipers on?
If you haven't cashed it, it should be straight
Have you taken the swing arm out and tried reassembling it?

Re: Rvf 400 Front wheel alignment
Its all together correct. The calipers are on but i cant see how thats relevent? Its is straight because as i said if it wasnt the wheels wouldnt be parellel. Has anyone accuratly checked there bike that can confirm they line up perfectly? Im an engineer so making a couple of spacers isnt a problem. Ive tried everything with the swing arm but come to the conclusion all that could be wrong is either the central spacer between the two bearings or the spacer on the sprocket side.. Does anyone have correct measurements for these?

Not without taking a bike apart, do you not have the original spacers?
