Alternative NC30 false tanks. Tyga NC35? CBR6?
So I want a false fuel tank cover on my race Nc30. I can't get hold of a NC30 one (I've tried BMC and AR).
So my other options is to use something else.
One idea is to use the Tyga NC35 rear tank cover and front tank with the vents plugged. No in theory this will fit but will have some gaps. It will need reinforcement on the rear section and I'm not sure how the front will attach and may need some large gaps fitting.
My other option is to modify another bikes ones that had them as standard, I'm thinking 05/6 CBR600 as I've seen one lay across a NC30 before and it looked about the right shape.
I'm making my own rear subframe for fitting a CBR6 seat so none standard rear tank mount is fine. My only worry with this one is how it will attach at the front and how neat it will be.
Anyone have any comments on what I've thought already or new ideas?

What about one of the Chinese plastic tank covers? I've got one on mine now, email one of the eBay sellers, they will do them separately...

I messaged a couple of sellers that actually had them as part of the kit and they said they don't sell individual pieces unfortunately.Icemaestro wrote:Nope I have one on an nc30 :-).benny wrote:For a nC35 are they?Icemaestro wrote:What about one of the Chinese plastic tank covers? That's not the best news regarding spare panels.benny wrote:Icemaestro wrote:benny wrote:

If they only selling the kit you best not drop the bike or you buying a hole new set!

Odd...there used to be sellers who sold individual bits. There are sellers on yahoo auctions selling them individually, that's where I got mine, but it came from China. There was a Chinese email address I thought as well, was a couple years ago now, but I see tank covers on there still.
