Rcg /Rec Faulty
Hi
is this a dead rec/reg???... Traveling home from work with the lights on and the bike starts to jerk, switch to park beam and it's ok as soon as i switch to normal beam the bike splutters and jerks and wants to die. ??
If so what replacement can i use? Ive heard the one off an R6 is a better one to use.

Re: Rcg /Rec Faulty
have you got a multimeter?
get the battery charged up fully then do some simple checks.....
1st check what the charge rate is...@5000rpm it should be 13.5-15.5volts
now if the reg rec is gubbed then the volts should actually drop instead of rising.

Rick Oliver is the man to speak to about getting a replacement. He gets heavy duty ones. He's a member on here so send him a PM or email...savfr wrote:Hi

Thanks jo , but i live in South Africa.
The exchange rate would kill me 16:1
I can get a R6 Reg\Rec for R400 , (+- ₤25)
from a local guy.
