CBR400RR NC23 Dynamo (Alternator)
Hi,
I'd like to know, is CBR400RR NC23 has dynamo (alternator) installed?
If yes, where is it located?
Sample picture of dynamo : http://www.promasydb.nl/pics/boonstra/0 ... 3186-1.jpg
Any info much appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: CBR400RR NC23 Dynamo (Alternator)
Hi rlwc, the unit in your picture is of an external mounted alternator, it actually looks the same as my 93 triumph unit. on your engine it is mounted inside the right hand engine casing. the rotor is on a shaft on the engine and the stator is mounted on the engine casing. if you remove the casing bolts and pull the casing off you will find the magnet on the rotor will pull on the casing with a fair bit of resistance. on refitting beware not to cause any damage to the rotor as the magnet will try and pull the casing out of your hands.
