Tank- Can I replace that short bleeder hose with longer one?
Hiya All,
Taking off NC29 petrol tank time folks!
I'm getting flash backs of that god awful tiny bleeder hose, or whatever it is, at the front of the petrol tank, you need to attach last before putting tank on again, or the bike will splutter to a halt in 10 yards!
Do you guys replace with a longer one, or is there a reason for the crappy clearance?
Any idea what Diameter it is, and where I can buy a usable longer replacement?
Regards
Martin

Forgive my ignorance but where is it? Only thing coming off my tank is the tap and that small steel tube overflow that sits in the rubber overflow at the rear. Stick a picture as you got me scratching my head. I cant see it in the parts book either.

Hiya dd,
That small steel overflow, if it is right at the back/front, that may be it. Do you have a hose going off it?
It's been a while since I've had the petrol tank off. I just remember we that sodding hose! 8)
Cheers

Hi Marty, the only overflow is the one shown in my picture above, at the back and underneath. While mine does not have an extra rubber pipe i cant say if it came with one origanally. The parts book shows nothing like that as far as i can see.
