Replacement Ignition Leads

Post by Bazooka »

Does anyone know where to find replacement ignition leads for an NC35?
I cannot seem to find anything available aftermarket. Is it simply a case of having to build my own?
What have others done when their leads get old hard and brittle?
Thanks

Since ignition leads dont tend to move much unless there is something broken then I dont usually bother.

You will have to get some replacmenet cable and build your own though as im pretty sure there are no off the shelf parts.

You can either get just cable and resuse the end caps and coil end, i cant remember if they are bonded in or you can get some leads with caps that just need to be shoved into the coils, but with the 8mm plugs maybe they wont fit right

Thanks Neo, thought that may be the case.
As I currently have the bike in pieces I thought it would be a good idea to give it all a freshen up and shout it a new set of leads. One of the plug caps is already split.
I am concerned about finding any plug caps that will fit the 8mm plugs. If anyone has made a new set what parts work?

I can supply ready made sets with NGK caps and copper cored leads for both NC30 and NC35...

Thanks Rick but I have just ordered NGK caps in preparation to build my own.
What size leads do I need to fit the coils?

i suspsect even the 8mm plugs use a standard inner threaded screw that the plug cap grips onto so as long as they fit and the reach is ok you should be good to go.

Are those the sd05f caps? what did you use for ignition lead and the splash/dust cap?
