Battery +ve -ve cable size

Post by skinnydog0_0 »

Hi All,

I am looking at possibly relocating the battery on my race bike and wondered if anyone new the cable rating for the battery supply?

I have found some 110A flexible lead with 6mm fittings is this likely to be enough?
The bike is running total loss if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Ive always worked on cable size, you will push 40 amps max so would need around 6mm squared.

You could use a wire gauge calculator, like http://www.bulkwire.com/wireresistance.asp.
