NC29 Fork Pipe Seat
Hi all
So whilst stripping the forks I found that the bolt on the bottom of one of them didn't want to move
. Tried everything and in the end had to drill the thing out
I was slightly out with my 'accuracy' and have taken a small out of the thread out of the bottom of the pipe seat where the bolt screws into...
My question is - does this really matter? I have checked and the bolt from the other fork bolts up into the damaged pipe seat. I intend to get a new bolt and copper washer to replace the one I've drilled out.
So have I completely fooshed up or should it be OK?
Cheers
Kev

If the bolt goes in ok and tightens up then no probs.make sure you clean/flush the swarf out of tube so no nastys floating about..
