Should I sell the NC and get a 748?

I have been asking myself this for a little while although I'm finding it really hard to even think about selling the NC. :D

I do go through this every now and then which doesn't go down too well at home! My problem is I'd like to fill the garage with about 10 bikes of various types and then ride which one takes my fancy on the day, I'm sure all will agree on that one.

Anyway, would it be a good move?
I'm thinking service costs would be high, is this correct, or is it just a myth?

I've heard a few things about buying a Â£2k bomb, what should I be looking, if I go ahead with the idea that is?!

I would say..don't bother. they are not that fast and if you were going to make a step (up, sidewards/down?) then get a 996 kind of bike.

I agree they look lovely but there would not be enough of a difference to me to make me think it was worthwhile.

Me and no9 have a great relationshp though..the wife thinks it is to close so I cannot even conceive of selling it!

Would have to be somehting uber serious for the thought to cross my mind...and then for the cash I would save up a few more months and keep it anyways!!

Your bike is a minter though and so you might beup for funny money if you sell it to arsey? (it is a UK one inint??)

Sell you UK model for a lot of omney - get a jap NC in need of TLC and then whatever you have left...get hunting for something you want!

Your collection will be started....and have an NC30 in it still

I know its not a ducati. but what a bout an rsvr fast fun and a lot cheaper than a decent duc and full ohlins etc.I had one but sold it to go racing would have another in a flash if I could afford it.Just a thought

Hi mate I looked at doing this in the summer, (but not selling the NC30) if you do a search you will find loads of posts on the matter.

I found a few nice 748's and went on 2 test rides and it was massive let down, well not let down but it was not what I was expecting. Yes you can get them cheap but they where not any better for me than the NC30 I was not blown away.

Then I test rode a 996 and fell in love. I will be buying a 996, but hope to get a 998 if I can save the extra money. The only reason I don't have one now is that I am moving house and might need the moneys.

The only way you can tell what is what is by going out and test ridding a few bikes, I was really surprised by what I had found as I had set my heart on the 748, then when I rode one I was not blown away.
