All standard NC30 fork springs are progressive (i.e. the coils are wound closer at one end of the spring than the other) if your bike has the correct, later type cartridge forks with damping adjustment then the stock springs will be 280mm long with 40mm steel preload spacers. If you have the early type, non-cartridge forks the stock springs are 290mm, preload spacers 150mm.

thanks but the springs i have are duel rate 280mm long with 60mm spring spacers also they are the later forks with damping. i'm trying to get a photo on but having problems working it out

That's a progressive spring out of the later forks just like Rick said.
It's possible that someone has fitted a longer spacer to try and stiffen the forks.

ok so standard springs are progressive ???? this 1 is duel rate (look at the pic) or are standard springs duel rate and this 1 is standard???? like i said at the start can any 1 show me a pic of a standard spring??

just to make a cople of things clear it seems that later nc30 forks have duel rate springs as standard not progressive like people are saying this pic should make it alot more clear
