Swingarm Spacer NC30

Post by mrrowley87 » Sat Sep 20, 2014 8:12 pm

Could anyone confirm the components of the swing arm pivot assembly?

I think I'm missing a spacer, unless the bolts pull the frame in to it. I have a top hat type spacer on the left hand side but nothing on the right.

With nothing torqued up there is a few mm between the frame and the swing arm. Should there be something packing that out?

Thanks. I've checked that but it doesn't confirm whether the frame is pulled in to close the gap or that play remains in the assembly

The frame cannot be pulled in, it is a large casting.
The pivot bolt adjuster is screwed into the frame until it touches the s/a bearing then lightly torqued up [ 11ft/lbs] to remove all end play.
The pivot bolt engages with the adjuster so that a 14mm allen key can turn it.

Then you should know that your are not missing anything. arsey30 has already answered the question on how to adjust the bolt.

You can find this info and all the other torque figures in the service manual in the downloads section.
