Play in rear hub

Hello all,

I have slight play up and down in my rear hub on my 1991 uk nc30 where is the best place to obtain a set of genuine replacment honda bearings & seals from i have sent a message to RO just waiting for a responce.

Before you strip it all down have you checked your lock bolt for adjusting the hub is torqued up propery (55nm) if its loose the hub will have play.

The rear hub has a few bearings in it, prices are from David Silvers, correct as of time of posting.

91061-ML0-731 this is the double caged ball-race. £67.69 inc vat EU
91284-MR7-003 this is the dust seals, you'll need 2, 1 for each end as they are the same £5.94 inc vat EU
91062-MR7-003 this is the needle roller. - £68.03 inc vat EU

just shy of 150 quid.

Having rebuilt a few usually the double caged ball-race seems to fail but ive seen a needle roller fail before too.

Make sure you have the correct tools or approrpiate substitues to get the bearings in, its easy to damage them, especailly the needle roller.

Just waiting to hear from RO regarding price, then i will order all parts of from him or mr honda but i will be fitting all the genuine bits only.

I would hate to just change so much for it to be a bearing I havent changed, I am 100 % conviced the fraction of play is in the hub as its up and down not movement when you grab the wheel and not side to side but do you know I will be double checking.

I can get all the correct sizes of sockets i need from our workshops but do i need a bearing puller or installer I have a manual maybe i should look at it ...

due to the high codt of the parts id recommend proper installer to pu　the bearings in, locoal workshop should do　it cheap. very easy to break them driving them in wih sockets
