Fitting twin cylinder engine in a Superfour 400
Hi guys,
I have a bit of a crazy idea here and I am looking for some opinions on it.
I particularly like the look of the Honda CB400 SF , especially the original ones from back in the early 1990s which had the Whale tail cone, However I am not as keen on 4 cylinder engines, especially with 4 separate carburettors to maintain and tune. I like the simplicity and lighter weight of a twin cylinder engine, especially a parallel twin.
Also I don't need power or performance.
I was wondering has anyone here ever fitted or saw anyone fit a parallel twin cylinder engine into a CB400SF?
Also does anyone here have any ideas about which engine would be the easiest to fit with the least modifications?

There's not much more to maintain in having another two carbs. The charm of the 400 is that it's high revs in the power band when you want to hustle it along.
Could look at putting a CB500 engine in, frame would be easy to mod as it's steel... Show us how you get on.
