Nc23 track mods?

Post by marti » Sun Aug 10, 2014 9:10 pm

Hi, I'm going to use an 89 nc23 for track days and possibly forgotten era racing.
I've got a nc29 17in rear on its way so will have to raise the rear ride height, can I shorten the linkage arms to achieve this?
I have a set of cbr929 calipers that I would like to fit to the standard forks does anyone make adaptor plates?
Cheers marti

I dont know of anyone who made or does make caliper adaptors for 23/29s

as for the linkages Graeme France sells replacment linkages/CBR6 shock conversions for the 23

Thanks for the reply
I have seen nc23s with brembo calipers!
I thought blade calipers would be a logical option?
I may not need a linkage, I think I have a cbr600 fl shock fitted.
If an old manual I have is correct the bottom shock mount is bolted on!
I'm sure I could soon knock up a 1/2inch extension for it.
Watch this space!

You can get adapter plates from yahoo jp for 40mm spacing brembo calipers

A full service of the 23 calipers is all thats needed new seals and pistons and it will happily lift the rear wheel under heavy braking, all you are doing with brackets is adding unsprung weight

When i bought my NC30 it had NC23/29 fork sliders on it for some reason, the only logical reason i could come up with was that they were either NC23/29 forks in my NC30

OR

someone had swapped the fork sliders/lowers so as to allow them to fit NC30 brakes onto their nc23. NC30 lowers also have adapter plates available to allow fitment of blade calipers etc.
