ummm...i was told.by a few in the know.the rubber flaps stop heat soak from rising into the airbox..and dont route air into the airbox itself..????(que loads of replies saying thats bullshit!!).though i would think the larger flap would stop hot air from around the motor.so the smaller flap would not direct air into the airbox.but keep the air from being turbulent....yes??hunter wrote:The flap is there to direct air to the airbox,

Ok does anyone at all have HRC carbs fitted to a RVF that can tell me what jet sizes and needle settings they run?
I pissed about all weekend at cadwell starting with the smallest jets supplied (148F and 152R) and couldn't get it to fuel right, i thought it was too lean but from speaking to someone else it was likely too rich and i should be running 130 ish jets.
