a good ride on the 3TJ6

Post by CRM »

as some will know i have owned this SP for about a year and ridden it 3 times.
i never really gelled with the bike i freely admit, uncomfortable, a bit wooden and not actually that quick or much good on the road - however today i really enjoyed it.
i took the RC30 to work and stored it away and decided to bring the SP back home - and you know what for some reason it just worked so much better. the handling was pretty good, motor was smooth, brakes worked ok, but the motor (now the clutch isnt slipping) was great fun when thrashed.

now if anyone can advise a source to replace all the fairing bolts that would be good. most are either missmatched or iron monger screws or just fell out.

If they are owt like the earlier model then genuine will look the best but cost nearly as much as a NOS nosecone.

I have used the following as substitutes on a few of mine.
Discard or save the supplied nuts ; they are not required with the original correct chimney nuts/bracketry.

More expensive than the above but I use black stainless and ally countersunk washers from probolt

I might have mentioned how good FZRs are to you
