Indicator issue

Post by Stitch - NC30 » Tue Jul 01, 2014 10:56 pm

Hi Guys,

Having a slight issue, the front indicator on the front n/s was not working when I got the bike, so after removing the fairing etc I hooked up some budget new indicators.

The front o/s works fine, but the front n/s is flashing double time, none of the bulbs are led or alike - so not sure where my problem lies

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Richard

I'm pretty sure the flash rate is determined by the resistance of the lamps attached to the circuit. If both are actually flashing on the same side and doing so very quickly, I would suspect one or both are the wrong wattage.

Cheers,

Must admit I didn't check the wattage of the bulbs (just that they were bulbs) - had a quick search but from what I can see Jap bikes "should" have 15 Watt bulbs and UK bikes 23 Watt - assuming the relay is standard.

Will report back,

Regards,

Richard
