Nc35 battery choice

Just been looking on ebay for a cheap battery for my nc35 and they do gel battery's

Is there any advantage getting a gel one over a wet acid type?
Are they heavier ?

I think sometimes gel batteries have a higher amp rating and can be used at different angles, there's several different types of battery, agm, tppl, etc, but for a standard bike I don't think there'd be much of an advantage over the standard one, unless you wanted a smaller one to save weight and stuff.
Off memory I think the standard battery is a ytx7, but can fit a ytx9 in a nc30 to give a bit more cranking power but dunno if it'd fit in a nc35.
But get a good battery like varta or something, cheap batteries don't usually last long from experience!!!!

I fitted ytx9-bs batteries in both my nc35's, fits perfect, always on the optimates infusion, no problem.
Standard it's the ytx7a-bs.

yep another 9 vote. the RC uses a 9 and often i take the cast off batteries to power the 400 after

Ohh I already ordered the 7 for just under £21 delivered
Not sure how old my current battery is or what kind of battery is but that lasted me 4 years so that ain't that bad
