The top fairing has a different kind of subframe that mounts to the frame in different places. The fairing lowers are a different shape at the bottom and get melted by the exhaust.
If you want the single headlight shape of the 3tj there was a fzr600 that used a similar shaped light. It was only 1 model year but you'd only need the top fairing, it has the false air intakes below the lights too, it should bolt straight onto your bike and work with your lowers.

Not on a 3EN2, but we put a 3TJ fairing on a 2TK last year without too many problems-Stretch85 wrote:Has anyone done this? What problems did you have ?

and previous to that I had the 3EN2 fairing on the 2TK-

My dismount at Aintree last year smashed all of the (standard! Arrrrrrrgh!) plastics to smithereens which caused the 3TJ fairing and TZ250 seat to be put to use

I made a simple front mount that went straight from the headstock to the fairing and used a single bolt to mount it, and a length of 6mm (well, 1/4") ally rod bent to shape to clear the clip-ons and fork tops as a screen brace-

A small nylon bung fitted inside the yoke nut (which I turned down in the lathe to remove the top) and the nylon bung was cross drilled to take the screen brace rod before we bent it to shape. It worked well!
It's the same frame (2TK), forks (3EN2) and tank cover (2TK) in all the pictures.

Did you have any other problems or just the screen brace ?

Re: 3tj race fairing on 3en2?
I think we might have had to drill the fairing side mounts slightly further back than they are on the 3TJ fairing to get the fairing to fit around the engine and exhaust but there was no cutting or fibreglassing needed. The clip-ons had to be moved much further down the forks as well to clear the fairing which made the bike feel much more like a 3TJ (which is a good thing!)Stretch85 wrote:Did you have any other problems or just the screen brace ?
