how warm does your NC30 run?
hi guys picked up an nc30 a month or two ago, and noticed it was running really warm, as in was almost redlining the thermostat whilst riding around town.
on closer inspection the lower radiator was bunged up to hell, and being impatient and naive, i assumed that was the sole cause, and after failing to degunge the sorry chunk of scrap, flat out replaced it.
i couldnt however get the fan to detach from the old radiator, rusted on good and hard, so am currently running with with a new radiator but no fan- i hear a lot of people are doing this.
now it runs much cooler, around 75' on the motorways, and around 88' in average london traffic. it does however pop over 90' if im stationary for a prolonged time.
so my question is, is this normal? i read NC30s run warm, but how warm should i expect before i should worry? my seat actually gets really warm when i ride too, not furnace hot but definitely warm- are all these just NC30 habits?
any input would be great guys, thanks [:

Yes, they run hot... :)
I have no fan and as long as you can get a bit of air through it and filter like mad to prevent being stationary you'll be fine

Mine tends to sit around the 90 mark although on occasion it does stray both up and down from there. It's operating temp is much more stable since I fitted those new rads. My also bike has a fan and it used to work although I haven't heard it kick in for a while but there again, I haven't overheated either..
