NC24 Carb gaskets

Looking for replacement gaskets for my NC24, are they the same carbs on the NC30 and 35, ie can I use a kit from them?

Discovered the reason why the choke cable had snapped; the rear choke slides are sized solid!

The gaskets between nc24 and nc30 carbs are mostly interchangeable.

The choke mechanism is different, the nc24 setup being a bit cruder as you've found!

Unfortunately Dave Silvers only had 1 gasket set left so 3 weeks later I've gotten a set from Japan!

I've been following the NC30 guide but have discovered my main jets are 3x 5 and 1x 4 and all have 115 jets. Also the head snapped off one of the pilot jets :( Can someone confirm I should be running 115x4 up front and 120x5 in the rear and any advice about removing the pilot would be awesome.

I hope you didn't pay too much for the gaskets! High quality pattern replacement gaskets are available here (for nc30, will fit nc24) for a fraction of the price of orginals: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=42551

NC24 should have 115 main jets, 5 hole emulsion tubes in rear carbs, 4 hole emulsion tubes in front carbs and 35 size pilot jets in all 4 carbs.

If yours is different I suggest you source the parts to put it back to correct specification. Used parts are easy to come by (NC30 uses some of the same parts), just stick a wanted ad in the classified section.

You should be able to remove what's left of the pilot jet with a suitable pair of pliers, just go easy on it.

You should be running 115 all around for stock.

5 hole tubes in the back and 4 holes in the front.

Best use the VITON rubber gaskets made by litekblair, about 20 quid for all 4 carbs and they are ethanol resistant and will last along time.

Cammo is spot on.

No need to upjet it.

Thanks for the info, I have 115 all round at the moment which seems to be the first set of things that *are* right with this bike. Waiting on pilots from Rick O then I might be able to start putting things together again!

Yes don't go too much by the haynes book.

Seems odd your emulsion tubes are wrong, guessing it must have had some replacements at sometime and the person doing it didn't realise they were different.
