Rear shock NC29

Post by mattiec321 »

Hi guys

The shock on the 29 is desperate for a swap or rebuild. I have heard that a cbr6 shock is a straight swap. Would one from a 97 model fit with no issues? thanks all

Yeah that's awesome and all but I don't have the £120 spare. I have found one at around £30 straight from a 97 600 I just need to know if it is a straight fit and that I don't have to get spacers made up

You need to cut a small notch into the linkage that bolts to the bottom of the shock to clear the lower damping adjuster . Its on the side of the shock body where the nc29 one is on the top . Just take out the linkage and bolt it to the shock then you can see where you need to file or saw it . Dead easy . 8-)
