cbr 400rr splutters above 6000rpm help
hi all
in need of your help my cbr400rr nc29 is running crap !!!!!!!
as soon as I get to 6000 revs it just splutters
ive balanced carbs properly using vacuum gauges ive put brand new jets in (standard) a kit from NRP CARBS.new plugs
and its the same
can any one help me in urgent need got a track day on Monday !!!!!!!!!

5500 RPM restriction?
Does it rev and drive above 6k? if not then the problem may be with the speedo wiring.

yes it drives but very very poor it just splutters and it feels like the throttle is rolling on of so to say

Not sure really...
Maybe it's worth draining / flushing the petrol tank and cleaning the fuel tap filter? There is also a secondary filter on the fuel tap outlet...

Have you got a speedo plugged in?

hi all got it sorted
the tps was out also removed K&N filter and put original in
also removed the filter before the the pump and replaced it and rebalanced carbs
runs 100% better now hits the redline no probs customer very happy now hope this info can help anyone else

hi, i have a nc23 cbr and around 6000rpm it sputters for a split second then will rev on up. only happens around the 5-6000 mark. What does tps stand for?
