NC30 1992 NO SPARK PLEASE HELP!!!

Post by vfr400streetanimal »

OK Heres the problem. i have a nc30 it was running. now i have no spark
I have checked the following
plugs
leads
coils all work
changed the cdi meant to be a working unit
starter solinoid works
start works and engine turns over.

the stock clocks have been removed and koso db01r fitted
stock headlights removed and hid lights added. these lights only use the high and low beam from the bike as a signal wire.

we also had to rewire the left switch gear becuase the old one was shot so now the lights work on an on off switch rather than a three position switch......

we have tried to fix the problem by wiring a stand alone ignition system so that any safety cut outs have been bypassed and still no spark SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

The only things that will cause no spark on ALL 4 cylinders are cdi and wiring/connectors/switches.

Plugs, leads/caps 1 cylinder
Coil or pulse pick up 2 cylinders
cdi 2 or 4 cylinders

Try the cdi on another bike first, then check connectors/switches

Have you tried the plugs in another bike yet? I just discovered my "new" battery is most likely the cause of all my no spark issues. Hope its as simple as this for you but I was tearing my hair out trying to figure it out, testing all the wiring and such and the battery just wasn't upto the job =/
