Meta Alarm System.
Hey, wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem with the alarm system. Its a Meta 357tV2 system that was fitted by a previous owner. After so many days the alarm goes into sleep mode, yesterday I got it out of sleep mode and tried the start the bike. Full choke, no throttle and crank it over. You could hear it turning, then (as the battery was a bit flat) just the starter motor clicking then nothing at all.
Now when I press the key it won't let me arm or disarm the system, no beeps at all. I've charged the battery and checked the battery in the key, all good. Checked all the fuses on the bike. I can turn the ignition on and get all the idiot lights, horn etc. Press the button and nothing. Pressed the button on the key and nothing.
Its leaving me confused. Any one else got one of these systems fitted? First issue I've had with it since I've had it.
Thanks in advance, not really a NC30 question I know but if you don't ask you'll never know.
Phil.

Re: Meta Alarm System.
I had one on the nc30 I bought, didn't know it was there to be honest as I bought the bike as a non runner. Fitted a new battery and refused to start. Left it overnight with the battery connected and by the morning had drained my battery flat. So when trying to find out why I found the box for the alarm/immobiliser. A meta tv2. They have an internal battery apparently and once its dead it will just eat your bike battery.
Long story short... it was either buy a new alarm cause it would plug straight into the loom and the bike wouldn't be immobilised anymore or split the alarm out from the loom and therefore removing the immobiliser from the circuit. I did the later. Its really easy especially for someone like me who is crap with electrics

Thanks! After more research I managed to bypass the alarm with 2 paper clips! Still deciding whether to get a replacement unit or just take it out of the loom.
