Electrical issue cutting engine out

Post by VFRRussell »

I have recently rebuilt a NC30 grey import. I took her out for the first ride today and must have broken down about 5 times. When trying to indicate whilst moving, the bike just completely lost drive and conked out. The battery was also full when setting off and had discharged itself within about 5 miles meaning a bump start was the only option.

Any ideas??

Haha no I don't think they are normal.

I'd be checking for a short to ground somewhere, maybe the indicator wiring seeing as it conked out while you were indicating?
