Idle adjuster
I could really really do with a tip or two on sorting out the idle on my nc30.
The little knob is stuck, won't go either way.
Bike starts well runs well but idles at 4k with choke off and only drops to 3500 ish when hot.
Read some threads but doesn't really help me.
Took the tank off, can't really get at it. Took the the fairing off still can't see it much.
Has the cable, just back from the spring got flat spots on it for a spanner? How else can I get hold of it to free it up?
Just come in from the shed, trying to see with a torch was a pain!
Looks like we have a dry day tomorrow so like to sort if in the morning and get out.
Any tips? Thanks

Re: Idle adjuster
I'd be getting those carbs off and getting medieval with some mole grips if it's stuck.
Then get a new one

Re: Idle adjuster
some well placed plus-gas or a spray with freeze and release type spray might free it up.
Failing that id unbolt the holder for the adjuster and get the carbs off, drain them of fuel and very carefuly apply some heat to where the linkage joins, it will soon free up.
