Got some RVF fork legs, not bad condition, need a good clean up and some new seals, bushes are ok.

Quite pitted, not sure what to do about that. Might get some new stanchions, do wemoto sell them?
Then it would be a case of getting the lowers off too??

Here they are

All split for refurb.

 not going that road with that price tag
There's a firm that rechromes legs for much less than that.

The grey Teflon coating gets worn off

Think I might get a pair of these, anyone got any experience with them (Paolo Tarozzi Fork Stanchions)?

One of my Christmas presents was a Rick Oliver adaptor kit.

Got the lower bearing greased up and pressed onto the bottom yoke and the bearing cup into the frame.
The adaptor is going with the top yoke and fork sliders to get anodised.

Got the stanchions out of the bottoms, this was a first for me, once I bought the T8 torx socket needed for the grub screw, heat was the answer...lots of heat.

Are you going to do the same as you did to the other forks you have?

Back from Star anodising

Fork sliders in original as possible, headstock boss in silver and top yoke in black
Image

The top yoke has been blasted then the face has been slowly flattened back with grades of emery cloth (took a while!)

Yokes all tight
