Sending fuel tank international post?

Post by Icemaestro »

Hi,

Wasn't sure where to put this - Can I buy a fuel tank (looking at an nc30 one) off ebay or japan yahoo and ship to NZ? I note fuel tanks are on the restricted list for international packages? is there any way these can be sent?

I got one sent from Japan once, the seller (or deputy agent in this case) just cleaned it thoroughly and made sure there was no fuel odour at all. Listed as 'motorcycle part' on shipping note and no issues.

Have them wrap it tightly in plastic so there is no gas odor also.

I imagine most deputy service companies have a policy against it.

I used moriwaki man (Drew), try asking him perhaps: http://moriwaki-man.com/portal/index.php
