Nc30 tank cover, anyone tried?

Post by Icemaestro »

Hi,

Sourcing second hand plastics from japan in the type 8 scheme (all but the left quarter panel!) and now looking at my tank. I've been priced around 420 nzd to get it painted, but thought this might be cheaper/keep my stock tank colour?

Found it originally on yahoo auctions japan but same company..

Has anyone tried a tank cover? I had one on an old cbr600f2 that fit pretty good..

That cover looks pretty good, though I would be inclined to paint the tank myself but that's because I'm a tightar$e.

You can get great results quite easily if you invest some time to learn.

I once tried to strip, prep and paint a tank...wasn't happy with the result (and that was a straight gloss black)...I'm also a bit cheap, hence why I was looking at this :-p. Jesper than painting, finish usually looks good etc etc. my only thought is as to how well it fits, and as to whether the bars would then hit it at full lock
